As a reminder we adjusted our school calendar to have tomorrow, November 3, 2017, (which was originally a "staff only" day) now be a day for students and staff to attend school.  This change did not add any days to the calendar for students or staff and still allows the same last day for students to attend school to be May 21, 2018 (pending any weather closings).  We are looking forward to seeing all of our students for school tomorrow!

2017-2018 School Calendar Change

We are happy to welcome you and your children back to school and the start of the 2017-18 school year. The first day of school for all students in grades K-12 will be August 17th. Prior to the start of school, and as soon as we possibly could, we want to make you aware of an adjustment to our 2017-18 school calendar.

On Monday, August 21 , 2017 we will experience a total solar eclipse, an event that hasn't occurred over the U.S .mainland since 1979.  Since the eclipse will be at its peak around the time of dismissal in the afternoon, we do not want to take the risk of having children watch it without proper eye protection on their way home from school whether they are walking, riding buses, or waiting to be picked up from school. While we could provide students with protective glasses, we would need permission slips to do so, and we cannot guarantee they will wear them after school.

Therefore, August 21, 2017 will now be an off day for students and a staff only work day (PLC Day).

In 2015, thanks to the generosity of our Northern Kentucky neighbors and the support of our long time program sponsors Channel 5 and Gold Star Chili, we were able to give over 1,800 coats to those in need. It’s that time of the year where you can once again help your neighbor survive our Northern Kentucky winter.

We need your help!

Erlanger Elsmere Schools early childcare providers have worked together to provide more and more children with quality early learning opportunities. Many of these young children have barriers to communication, or may even have an undiagnosed disability.  We know the importance of addressing these delays as early as possible!

Please reach out to your family, your friends, and your contacts on Facebook,
Twitter and Instagram to ask for their votes and share our URL listed. If our
grant is chosen, Erlanger/Elsmere Schools, and our Early Childhood Education partners stand to win a $25,000 grant for our children!  Help us with your personal influence!  You get 10 votes each day for each email you own for the next 10 days. The most votes wins!
Thank you for your votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harvest Fest
6th grade Parents –

6th grade Parents –

Thursday, October 27th, the Playhouse in the Park will be traveling to Tichenor Middle School to perform Robin Hood for our 6th grade students!

Good and evil take center stage in this tale of a legendary outlaw who robs from the rich to give to the poor. Robin Hood and his merry band of underground heroes rally to support those who cannot fight for themselves. But when they run afoul of the greedy Prince John, the deceptive Sheriff of Nottingham devises an elaborate plot to discover Robin’s hideout and capture him once and for all. Full of swordfights and wordplay, this decidedly modern take on the classic story is a high-powered, action-packed adventure.

For 6th graders who want to attend, the cost is $2. Please send money in to your child’s 1st period teacher by Wednesday, October 26th. Please call Mrs. Ryan, 727-2255, with any questions.

Superintendent: "Back to School" a moment to celebrate, but we never really left!

The doors to Erlanger-Elsmere Schools seldom close. All summer we intentionally support and engage our students in many ways. For us, yes, "Back to School" is a moment to celebrate--but don't think of it in the same terms that existed a generation or two ago.
