Spring edition of Engage now avaiable

Cover of newsletterThe spring edition of Engage, the Erlanger-Elsmere School District newsletter, is on its way to residents of the district. This edition includes  several articles about the accomplishments our students have made this year, including an article about College Signing Day at Lloyd, and information about numerous summer activities available for students of all ages. Erlanger-Elsmere Health Coordinator to be Honored

Congratulations to Mary Burch, who will be honored by the Northern Kentucky Health Department with the 2017 Award of Excellence in Public Health. She is being recognized for her leadership in implementing evidence-based school health programs and advocating for school health throughout Kenton County.

The Kenton County Public Library has announced its plans for the 2017 Summer Reading Club. This program is designed to help keep students on track during the summer.

Erlanger-Elsmere Schools to Be Honored for Early Learning Efforts

The Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District will receive the Public Education Achieves in Kentucky (PEAK) Award for their outstanding work with early childhood education.  The PEAK Award was established in 1997 to focus statewide attention on outstanding public school efforts that enhance student learning skills and promote the positive impact of public elementary and secondary education in Kentucky, a news release stated. The following article explains how the district saw the need for more preschool programs and how they developed partnerships with several different agencies to provide preschool opportunities to the children in our district.

Principal's Message

Dorothy Howell’s student handbook is being issued with each child on their first day of school. These handbooks, along with multiple other flyers, contain most of the information that you will need to know about our school’s policies and procedures. It is important that parents complete all of the information contained and return it to school in a timely manner. It is also important that this information is updated at the school level whenever there is a change to any information.
