We are excited to have our students return to school! School starts on August 15th! Construction projects have taken place at Howell Elementary and in the cities throughout the summer. Some city and state road work will continue this week and beyond in effort of continuous improvement. We are appreciative our cities making us aware of ongoing projects so that we can do our best to keep you informed. Please be aware of construction and new traffic patterns around or near:
Howell Elementary: will have new traffic patterns this school year for arrival and dismissal drop-off and pick-up. Families should enter the road behind Howell entering from either end of Plateau and exiting right or left onto Buckner as indicated on this visual:

Lindeman Elementary: All concrete pavement replacement work in front of the school is completed. Work on remaining portions of the road will begin again the week of August 20th, and will continue for a couple of months but full access to the school will be open to traffic. Watch for signs that week to follow construction routes as needed.
Stephenson Road: A state of Kentucky road maintenance project is underway that consists of simple base repairs, milling of the surface as followed by new pavement placement. Asphalt paving will start on August 15 and take approximately three days to complete. If you are traveling on Stephenson to get to or from school you may want to take an alternate route this week.
Birch Street: There is a city project on Birch Street, but traffic is fully accessible and shouldn't create any issues.
