The Site-Based Decision-Making Council (SBDM) at Miles Elementary has unanimously selected Ms. Reena Connelly as the school’s new principal.
Ms. Connelly comes to Miles and the Erlanger-Elsmere School District from Saffell Street Elementary School in Anderson County, Ky., where she most recently served as the school’s Math Interventionist. In her eight years at Saffell Street, she also taught 2nd and 4th grade, and served as a grade level coach.
Ms. Connelly received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Berea College and has earned a Master’s in Teacher Leadership and an Education Specialist in Instructional Leadership degree from University of the Cumberlands. She was selected as an Anderson Teacher of the Year in 2015.
"We are excited to have Ms. Connelly join our Miles Elementary School and Erlanger-Elsmere Schools family,” said Mr. Chad Molley, Superintendent. “We are confident her blend of leadership and knowledge of curriculum and instruction will allow our staff and students to flourish as they return for the 2021-2022 school year. We look forward to her passionate, caring, empathetic approach to school leadership and her belief in building strong relationships with the students, staff, families, and the entire Miles Elementary School community."
Ms. Connelly currently resides in Frankfort, Ky., with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Ryder and Wade.
