Renee Boots named interim principal of Howell Elementary School
ERLANGER, Ky. (April 12, 2021) –
The Erlanger-Elsmere Independent School District has announced that Ms. Renee Boots will serve as interim principal of Howell Elementary School for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. She assumes the position effective April 13.
Ms. Boots is a veteran educational leader who focuses on building positive relationships with the students and staff she serves. Her extensive experience includes a variety of positions throughout Northern Kentucky and across the commonwealth, which make her very well suited for the job.
Most recently, Ms. Boots served as Chief Academic Officer for Montgomery County Schools, where she lead curriculum and instruction, supervised principals and other administrators, and served as director of elementary schools, secondary schools, and special education, among other duties. Before that, she spent more than a decade in administrative roles, including high school principal in Campbell County, where she led the school from state intervention status to five national rankings as one of America’s best high schools.
Ms. Boots has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky, Master of Arts and Rank I in education from Northern Kentucky University, and Superintendent and Administrator credentials from Xavier University.
“We are grateful to have Ms. Boots take the lead as Howell’s interim principal for the remainder of the school year,” said Mr. Chad Molley, superintendent. “I am confident that with her experience and expertise, she will seamlessly lead Howell’s dedicated students and staff through these next few months.”
