Current CDC and DPH Covid-19 guidance will allow us to continue to prioritize in-person instruction for our students. We are making changes to our Covid-19 procedures that will take effect immediately. We will continue to practice social distancing whenever possible, universal masking, practicing good hand hygiene, and encourage all those eligible to get vaccinated and/or boosted.
Revised guidance allows districts with universal masking requirements to discontinue contact tracing and quarantine for individuals exposed to Covid-19, regardless of vaccination status, at school and at school sponsored activities (athletics and extra-curriculars).
We are still required to isolate positive cases of Covid-19 from the school environment, regardless of vaccination status. The positive case will be isolated in accordance with current CDC and DPH guidance. Families will receive notification from the school about a positive case of COVID-19 in the classroom/school setting.
Students and staff are encouraged to stay home if they are experiencing signs of illness, including fever.
