Schools Closed February 7, 2022 NTI Day #4

For the safety of our students, staff, and visitors all Erlanger-Elsmere Schools will be closed on Monday, February 7, 2022. This will be NTI Day #4 for students and staff.

We still have significant areas of ice on the sidewalks and entrances to our facilities. With temperatures dropping overnight and remaining below freezing through the morning a re-freeze will create some very slick and hazardous conditions.

What is a NTI (Non-Traditional Instructional) Day?

NTI (Non-Traditional Instructional ) Days mean that if our schools are closed due to inclement weather or another emergency circumstance students and teachers will not report to school for in-person instruction. Students will be provided with assignments that are aligned with grade level and content standards, while focusing on rigor and engagement that is manageable for students. This is NOT virtual/online learning - Google Meets will not be expected.

How will students receive their assignments?

Schools and teachers will communicate with students and families via Class Dojo, Google Classroom, and/or email about the expectations of what should be completed during the NTI Day. In some cases, students at the elementary level may have also brought home paper copies of choice boards. Please check your child’s school NTI page below for further information and access to resources and important information regarding the specifics of their NTI Day.

What if my child needs help or I have questions?

Teachers will be available to assist students and/or their families from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. through email, Class Dojo,  Google Classroom or Google Meet (not required - only as needed on an individual/small group basis). Additionally you may reach out to the building principals, counselors, and/or instructional coach for clarifications, questions or concerns.
