Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI)

EES Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Information Sheet

This plan outlines how instruction will be delivered for ALL students during a day when school is not open due to unforeseen circumstances. The plan allows for both digital and hard copy content to be available for students on Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days. The planned result is less loss of instructional time and increased ability to learn new content when school is back in session.

All work students will be asked to do should be work that they can complete on their own. The expectation is not for our caregivers to step into the role of teacher. Staff will be available to support students on each Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day (see Staff Availability below).

What is a Non-Traditional Instructional Day?

Delivery: Both digital and hard copy content will be available for students.

When: Non-Traditional Instruction will be implemented during the following dates at this time: March 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27. March 20, 2020 is a scheduled PLC Day (non-instructional day) on the EES District calendar and NTI will not be used on this day.

Hard copy assignments will also be made available for pick up from each school - consult each school's Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) webpage or call the school for scheduled pickup time/s and date/s. More information can be found at the EES Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) webpage on March 18.
