Lindeman Arts Integration Lindeman Arts Integration

Art is alive Lindeman

Teachers at Lindeman Elementary teachers took the lead on professional development, attending arts integration training over the summer, then sharing what they learned with the rest of the school's staff.

"Everyone enjoyed the hands-on learning and they are implementing these strategies and techniques in their classroom," said Mrs. Angie Gabbard, Lindeman's principal.

The Dot

Then, to start the year, Mrs. Amanda Greenwald, the school's art teacher, facilitated a collaborative art piece with students in grades 3, 4, and 5, inspired by the book The Dot. The beautiful piece is now hanging in Lindeman's hallway.

Breakfast

Eat breakfast at school!
And other updates from the School Nutrition Department...

Remember -- breakfast is available at each school in the Erlanger-Elsmere District! The most important meal of the day is offered at no cost and starts at 7:30 a.m. each morning for students to enjoy things like smoothies, parfaits, and traditional breakfast items to start their day.

In addition, the Erlanger-Elsmere Schools School Nutrition Department has created its own Facebook page to share the most up-to-date news, along with monthly menus. "Like" this new page to get all the news you need about food and nutrition within our school district!

Lloyd Energy Team receives state, national awards

Lloyd Memorial High School’s Energy Team was recently recognized by the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project for an outstanding energy education project: Can I Get a Watt Watt - The Year of the Pandemic. Lloyd Memorial High School was selected as Kentucky Senior School of the Year and National Senior School of the Year.

The team was recognized at the 41st Annual Youth Energy Conference and Awards this summer for their project, which included work in a community garden, STEM outreach, socially-distanced energy information sharing, scavenger hunts for students to complete with their families, a blue jean recycling program, and more. Not bad for a year spent largely in quarantine!

While the team was unable to attend the award presentation in Washington, D.C., they have received their impressive award. Great job to the Lloyd Energy Team, and sincerest thanks to Mrs. Melissa Stolz for her leadership!
