Spring edition of Engage now available
The spring edition of Engage, the district's print newsletter, is on its way to residents of the school district. Articles include a look at how the district works with partners to prepare students for kindergarten, a story about Lloyd High School's College Signing Day, and a piece about the student-led efforts around the district to save energy. Interested parties who live out of district (or district residents who just can't wait for their print copy) can read the online version of the newsletter here.

Lloyd named one of the "Best High Schools" by U.S. News and World Report
For the second consecutive year, Lloyd Memorial High School received a bronze medal and was identified by U.S News & World Report as one of the Best High Schools in the United States. This award places Lloyd Memorial High School in the top third of all public high schools in the United States.

Lloyd alumnus a Fullbright Scholar
2011 Lloyd High School alumnus Lashawn Ford was recently awarded a Fullbright Study/Research grant, which will allow her to pursue a graduate degree in England at the University of Kent in Canterbury. Ford, who attended undergraduate school at the University of Louisville, was a quadruple major, receiving degrees in justice administration, sociology, psychology, and philosophy.

All district elementary schools to host "Me any My School" programs this summer
In order for new kindergarten students to be better prepared for kindergarten, summer programs will be available for incoming kindergartners at each of our four elementary schools. Dates and times will vary, but registration is free and meals are provided.
