STLP a Winner!

Lloyd High School's Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) participated in a regional event held at NKU on Monday, November 20th.  We are happy to report that they were invited to compete at the STLP State Championship, which will be held in Lexington on March 29th.  Kudos to Jonathan Jones for leading this group and to the students, who put in hours of work after school to develop a winning project.  However, this is just the beginning. The group will continue to develop and perfect the project over the next few months. Great job!

Reminder: School in Session Tomorrow

Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As a reminder we adjusted our school calendar to have tomorrow, November 3, 2017, (which was originally a "staff only" day) now be a day for students and staff to attend school.  This change did not add any days to the calendar for students or staff and still allows the same last day for students to attend school to be May 21, 2018 (pending any weather closings).  We are looking forward to seeing all of our students for school tomorrow!

(May 9, 2017) – With the massive increase in heroin use and the rise in overdoses hitting Northern Kentucky, the City of Erlanger is teaming up with Kenton County, The Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, PDS and the Northern Kentucky Health Department to take on the crisis by creating a public awareness campaign. Working together with the county organizations, Erlanger will join the campaign with a door-to-door drive on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 to distribute nearly 10,000 informational door hangers to residents throughout the city. Kenton County Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann and Mayor Tyson Hermes will be joined by volunteers to canvass the neighborhoods placing the door hangers. 2017-2018 School Calendar Change

We are happy to welcome you and your children back to school and the start of the 2017-18 school year. The first day of school for all students in grades K-12 will be August 17th. Prior to the start of school, and as soon as we possibly could, we want to make you aware of an adjustment to our 2017-18 school calendar.

On Monday, August 21 , 2017 we will experience a total solar eclipse, an event that hasn't occurred over the U.S .mainland since 1979.  Since the eclipse will be at its peak around the time of dismissal in the afternoon, we do not want to take the risk of having children watch it without proper eye protection on their way home from school whether they are walking, riding buses, or waiting to be picked up from school. While we could provide students with protective glasses, we would need permission slips to do so, and we cannot guarantee they will wear them after school.

Therefore, August 21, 2017 will now be an off day for students and a staff only work day (PLC Day).

Staff and Student Email Unavailable March 22-26

Due to the state transitioning our email system, all staff and student email will be unavailable from 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 until Monday morning, March 26. No student or staff will be able to send or receive email during this time.  Please watch here for updates and more information.  If you need immediate assistance during this time, please call your school office.

All Erlanger-Elsmere Independent Schools are now closed for today, Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Thank you.
Erlanger-Elsmere Grade School Boys' Basketball League

The Erlanger-Elsmere Grade School Boys’ Basketball League still has an opening for two schools that would each be interested in placing one 4th grade team and one 5th grade team into the league. To be admitted into the league, a school must be able to enter a team at both grade levels. The entry fee is $600.00 per team, and it must be paid upon acceptance into the league and no later than July 25, 2017. Games are played at Lloyd High School on Saturday mornings from November through February. Teams will play an 11-game regular season schedule with an all-inclusive, season-ending tournament to follow.
