Mrs. Anna Muennich

Ms. Anna Muennich has been named principal of Lloyd Memorial High School, filling the position vacated by Dr. Mike Key as he assumes the role of assistant superintendent. Ms. Muennich has been promoted from within the building, having served as Lloyd’s assistant principal for the past three years.

In addition to her administrative experience, Mrs. Muennich’s extensive qualifications also include fourteen years as a high school English teacher, first at Dayton High School, then at Lloyd. During Ms. Muennich’s teaching tenure, she excelled in classroom management, curriculum, and planning/organization. Her strong work ethic and thorough execution skills provided many opportunities for her to take on leadership roles, which eventually led her to serve as Lloyd’s assistant principal.

Since stepping into leadership, Ms. Muennich has helped strengthen systems that support both students and staff, while leading initiatives focused on student achievement and school improvement. She has worked closely with teachers to analyze student data and identify targeted interventions, while also leading the development of the 2025-2026 master schedule and collaborating with the special education department to support student scheduling needs. She partnered with Ms. Annie Roberts, the school’s instructional coach, to implement Marzano proficiency scales, helping define mastery and guide classroom instruction. She also facilitated SAT preparation efforts for juniors and collaborated with colleagues to form Senior Academy initiatives, including assisting with a Reverse Career Fair, supporting individualized senior schedules, and expanding post-secondary readiness opportunities.

Throughout her time at Lloyd, Ms. Muennich has become known for her collaborative leadership style, strong communication skills, and commitment to fostering a positive school culture centered on student growth, collaboration, and support.

“I am very fortunate to be part of a district that has helped me grow,” Muennich said. “I look forward to continuing to serve the Lloyd community and building on the culture of learning and support that makes this school so special.”

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Muennich earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature before completing the Master of Arts in Teaching and Educational Leadership programs at Northern Kentucky University. In December 2024, Muennich graduated from NKU’s Educational Leadership program, further preparing her to lead Lloyd into its next chapter.

Ms. Muennich lives in Cincinnati with her husband and son. Outside of school, their family enjoys camping, hiking, and attending their son’s sporting events and school activities.
