The end of the school year included a very special day for the members of the Class of 2026 and their families, as they took part in Lloyd Memorial High School’s 98th annual commencement ceremony. The evening included all of the hallmarks of such a remarkable rite of passage: an opportunity to reflect on their years in Erlanger-Elsmere Schools, and a time to look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead.
Of the graduates, 44 have signed their commitment to college, country, or career! Thirteen are attending technical or community colleges; 23 are moving on to four-year colleges or universities; 2 are attending trade schools; 2 are pursuing a trade program/apprenticeship; and 5 have signed with a military branch. Of those students, 29 of them are the first generation in their family to attend college.
This class earned nearly $1 million in scholarships, not including KEES (Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship) funds. In addition, they earned a combined 1,200 college credit hours through dual-credit programs at Northern Kentucky University and Gateway Community & Technical College over the past two years.
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and wish them all the best. The future is bright!
