At the end of each school year, we recognize and celebrate those who are retiring from Erlanger-Elsmere Schools. Collectively, this year’s group has contributed nearly 95 years of service to our district. Their steady commitment, care, and professionalism have helped shape our schools in countless ways.

Ms. Jane Cahill
With the district since December 2007
Instructional Assistant and Bus Monitor, Arnett and Miles Elementary
"This is a huge loss for us at Miles… Ms. Cahill is irreplaceable to say the least. She is one of the most caring, selfless educators I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. Some people are called to be educators, and she is one of them. She treats every single child who comes in our doors like they are her own.”
-- Ms. Reena Connelly, Principal, Miles Elementary

Ms. Phyllis Ginn
With the district since August 1998
Special Education Teacher, Howell Elementary
“Without a doubt, Ms. Ginn has been a cornerstone of Dorothy Howell Elementary throughout her career. Her commitment, dedication, warmth, and patience as a special education teacher serve as a model for all of us. She meets a student where they are, and helps them far exceed even their own expectations. Every child deserves to have a Ms. Ginn in their corner.”
-- Ms. Tiffany Gruen, Principal, Howell Elementary

Ms. Jennifer Glass
With the district since August 2014
Guidance Counselor, Lloyd Memorial High School
“Ms. Glass has been an absolute steady force at the high school through my time. She brings so much to the table for kids every day. She is a master at what is best for kids, and whatever we need to do that’s best for kids what we’re going to do. She’s also there for staff; they lean on her day in and day out. I can’t say enough about her; she’s an unbelievably good human being, and we will miss her tremendously.”
-- Dr. Mike Key, Principal, Lloyd High School

Ms. Kimberley Little
With the district since 1999
Teacher at Howell, retired in 2015
Returned as an Instructional Assistant in Special Ed and Preschool at Arnett
“Ms. Little has worked in the district for her full 27 years. She and I started together at Howell in the 1900s, and I feel very blessed to be there at the beginning of her career and at the end as well. She is loved in the building… she’s positive, funny, and full of life. She’s made such a difference to so many lives over the course of 27 years, and she will be truly missed.”
-- Ms. Monica Crockett, Principal, Arnett Elementary

Ms. Katherine Schierer
With the district since August 2022
Teacher at Howell Elementary
“Ms. Schierer came to Howell after more than two decades in other districts. She knew she had a few years left teaching, and she wanted to spend those years in a small, tight-knit community where kids ride their bicycles. We both really hit the mark. Our staff grew a lot through the experience, leadership, and foundation she brought, and she maintained the really refreshing lens of a learner. She has given our students the love, patience, and time we all hope someone will give our children.”
-- Ms. Tiffany Gruen, Principal, Howell Elementary
Mr. David Stein
With the district since 2022
Custodian at Miles Elementary
“Mr. Stein came to us after 33 years working with Delta, and we were really lucky to snag him at Miles. Our staff and kids instantly loved him… he has become the grandpa of our school. He is one of the most kind, incredible people I’ve ever known. He’s willing to do anything, and he’s great with the kids. We are very sad to see him go, and he will be very much missed!”
-- Mrs. Reena Connelly, Principal, Miles Elementary
We are grateful for the time, talent, and heart each of these dedicated employees has given to this district, and we wish them the best in all that lies ahead!
