Fourth and fifth graders from Arnett Elementary were able to take their love of science and apply it at COSI (the Center of Science and Industry), a renowned, hands-on science center and museum located in Columbus, Ohio. After enjoying a comfortable charter bus ride to their destination, students had the opportunity to explore all sorts of scientific principles, including the world of energy, water, engineering, human bodies, sound, space, and even dinosaurs.

They were accompanied by amazing chaperones – who were an essential part of the success of the trip – along with Ms. Stephanie Abney and Ms. Emily Murphy, Arnett teachers who coordinated the experience. And, thanks to fundraising efforts, the students were able to enjoy the day at no cost!

“This is a trip that will stick with the kids forever,” Ms. Abney said. “I still remember when I was able to take a trip up there from when I was their age.”
