Howell marked the day with donuts for breakfast, stickers, and random drawings for prizes for the students who made an extra effort to be at school that day.
Howell Elementary recently received a certificate from the Kentucky Division of Pupil Personnel (KYDPP) for having the highest attendance in their region for the division’s 2025 High Attendance Day.
Howell won for having the best attendance on this day for Large Elementary School in Region 7, consisting of schools in Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton, and Bracken counties. Howell’s attendance rate was a remarkable 98.45%!
Mr. Alan Haire, our district’s Director of Pupil Personnel, recently presented the prestigious KYDPP certificate to Mrs. Tiffany Gruen, Howell’s principal.
The Kentucky Division of Pupil Personnel (KYDPP) focuses on improving student attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism. They support schools with resources, manage these Regional High Attendance Day awards, and address both in-person and virtual attendance tracking to ensure compliance with state law.
We are so proud of Howell’s students, parents, faculty, and staff for achieving this outstanding distinction.
