Ms. Tammy Hughes
Ms. Tammy Hughes joined the district in March 2002 as a cook/baker and spent the last several years as Food Service Manager.

 “I’m not certain there’s enough time to define her career here over the past 15 years. At some point, she even had my children in the kitchen with her early in the morning so I could go to another school. The students she served were loved, and they knew they were loved. Tammy was my go-to person for training new staff, trying new recipes, and looking for solutions to make something better. She truly is a team player and a wonderful co-worker.”

Ms. Linda Crosthwaite
Ms. Linda Crosthwaite was hired in August 2018 as a cook/baker in the district’s Food Service Department.

“Linda is a fun-loving, sassy, hard worker. She’s loved being with the kids and hearing about their days, and they’ve loved interacting with her. She took pride in everything she did and was always there when needed, making sure kids and coworkers were taken care of. During the COVID experience, Linda helped immensely. She’s the person you want on your side when you have big projects. She and her bright smile will definitely be missed.”

Ms. Tonia Rhodes
Ms. Tonia Rhodes joined the district in August 2011 as a cook/baker at Tichenor Middle School and also worked as a district bus monitor.

“Her career started on the exact same day as mine did at Tichenor, and she spent her entire career in the Tichenor kitchen. She welcomed students to breakfast, knew them by name, and always had a kind word. We will miss seeing her face and hearing her lovingly call everyone ‘sis’.”

Mr. Stephen Neace
Mr. Stephen Neace was hired in August 2005 as a social studies teacher. For the 21 years since, he has been part of the Tichenor team, serving as a social studies teacher and coordinator as well as a volleyball coach and athletics games manager.

“Mr. Neace has helped thousands of students better understand the world. He spent 21 years at Tichenor, 12 of those as the social studies department chair. Those who know him best describe him as hardworking, even-tempered, and wise. When we held a small staff celebration and took a photo of him with his retirement cake, it was the most popular Facebook post Tichenor Middle School ever shared with former students, families, and colleagues reminiscing and wishing him well. We are grateful for the memories, laughter, and wisdom he’s shared over the past two decades, and we wish him all the best in this next chapter of retirement — he’s certainly earned it!”
